Elizabeth Bartlett

Director, Secretary

Jesus led Bella (Elizabeth) to Carmen’s Miracle Makers.

Bella is the mother of a perfect son, Keller Norman Bartlett, born into the arms of Jesus in September of 2015. She is also the mother to two rambunctious amazing girls and wife to a total trophy husband.

God brought Bella and Sydney together throughout Carmen’s life. We laugh that this stranger (me) just showed up at the hospital with flowers while Sydney was in labor with Carmen. God is the only answer, and I praise him for leading me to that hospital room.

Bella serves in a leadership capacity in a group for ministering to mother’s of young children (The Nest). She also works as a part time free lance illustrator and writer. Bella worked alongside Sydney in illustrating “And If You Can’t” and is honored to serve as Secretary of the board of Carmen’s Miracle Makers.

Crystal Perez

Director, Photographer

Hi I’m Crystal! I am a mother to four amazing kids and wife to my husband of 8 years. Jesus, photography and the toddler snack life fill my time in this season of motherhood.

I met Sydney while serving in Montenegro many years before marriage and kids. As the announcements of new little ones came, we celebrated and rejoiced together. As the uncertainty and difficult moments arose, we cried together, prayed together and sat in silence together. I consider it truly an honor to have met Carmen and now to be a small part of her legacy.

Capturing memory making moments have been a passion of mine as long as I can remember. I have been photographing the Northern Virginia community for about seven years and am thrilled to be serving the mission of Carmen’s Miracle Maker in a director role.

Katie Sauer

Lead Volunteer

My name is Katherine Sauer, wife, mama, and lover of puns! Thanks to my hunky husband, I've been blessed to be able to stay home with my two wild and lovable children.

I previously worked with Loudoun County Public Schools as an assistant to children with special needs and as a kindergarten assistant.

I hold certifications in Autism Spectrum Disorder and Effective instruction and Support. The best part of my job was helping my students meet their goals and being able to celebrate with them and their families.

I feel my best when I’m being productive and able to help others. My experience working with children who have special needs has taught me the importance of practicing patience and to trust in God's plan.

I strive to continue that practice within my home and to find the good in each day.
